My French teach and I, we do a lot of different games, sometimes debates as well. What I like the most are the role plays. What she does it that she gives a card to herself and to me and on this card is written a different role and what exactly you want from each other and after that we play these roles in a conversation. My teacher waits to correct me until the end of my speech. I think that these corrections exactly, they do help me to learn a lot of the language and much quicker as well than for instance learning grammar or different words. Another thing that I love about my teacher is that she always has something prepared. Either it's a very cool video or an article... last time there was an article on the Bauhaus, for instance. Usually I don't mind doing something different at the end of the lesson as well.
🛣️ Having a plan is important. You should come to each class with clear goals and aims. Of course, sometimes you will have to adapt these to the student's needs.

My teacher makes me repeat words and sentences a lot. He will say a word, and I will repeat it.
One thing that is really good is that if he notices that my pronunciation is not good, he'll correct me straight away so that I'm aware of it.
We memorise dialogues and repeat them together in order to practise further my pronunciation skills.
One thing that I absolutely love about my teacher is that he never explains grammar to me - if I have any question about it, he will give me lots and lots and lots of examples so that I figure out the rule by myself. I think this is a very natural way of learning grammar. And then a fun thing is that at the end of the lesson, if we have a little bit of time, we will play games such as hangman.
🦕 When learning a new language, it’s important to correct mistakes as much as possible, so they don’t become fossilised.
👩🎓 It’s better if the student understands the grammar rules on their own, rather than being told by the teacher.
🦜 Imitating good examples of language and memorising entire phrases can ensure the student remembers language and expressions in real life.
🗣️ Without correct pronunciation, one can never say that they truly speak a language.

I learn a new grammar rule every week, and I do a lot of exercises with it. Sometimes I have to fill the gaps in some sentences, sometimes I have to change the verb so it's in the correct form. I also have to learn all the names of verb tenses, the grammar rules, and so on. She (my teacher) says it helps me understand the new rules faster. At the end of each lesson, I do some speaking exercises using the grammar we have learnt. To revise vocabulary, we often use flashcards. I have a lot of homework!
📚 Knowing metalanguage* ( = words to describe grammar and other aspects of language) is imperative to understand how the language works.
♻️ Revision and homework tasks play an important role in the long-term retention of the language
